Career Advisor

For the New York Office of an International Law Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide individualized career development support and serve as a trusted advisor to associates;
  • Counsel U.S. associates on integration, relationship building, goal setting, communication skills, management skills, and performance improvement;
  • Create and facilitate career development training programs to support and complement coaching offerings;
  • Works with leaders and PD to support associates in achieving developmental goals;
  • Oversees and manages the mentor program and work with associates on developing their individual development plans;
  • Works closely with the Diversity & Inclusion team to support the firm’s strategic objectives in developing and retaining a diverse talent pool and pipeline.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; J.D. & coaching certificate strongly preferred;
  • 5+ years of experience in PD or coaching department of a law firm, academia, or a professional services firm required;
  • Excellent judgement and discretion with respect to confidential information;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and creative problem solving capabilities;
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively tailer communications for different stakeholders;
  • Extremely detail-oriented, strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
Salary: $190k-$210k
