Director of Recruiting

For the New York Office of a New Litigation Firm
This is a filled position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic direction for all associate hiring initiatives for a new, expanding, successful law firm;
  • Take an innovative and proactive role in developing creative ways to brand the firm and help distinguish its unique offerings;
  • Oversee the summer associate program, including orientations, evaluations, and events;
  • Develop relationships with key contacts at top law schools and search firms;
  • Work closely with partners to determine hiring needs; review and assess market trends in attorney hiring;
  • Serve as firm liaison for candidates and as a firm ambassador.

Qualifications include:

  • 8+ years of attorney recruiting experience at a top law firm;
  • Desire to build an attorney recruiting function from the ground up and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment;
  • Ability to both operate on a strategic level and roll up your sleeves to execute programs and initiatives;
  • Ability to inspire trust and develop relationships with firm personnel at all levels;
  • Excellent project management skills;
  • Ability to exercise judgment and handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
Salary: $200-$300k
