Director of Marketing & Business Development

For the New York Office of a Very Successful Litigation Boutique

Responsibilities include:

  • Support partners in developing and executing BD plans; coach partners and help generate creative ideas for expanding client opportunities;
  • Implement proactive marketing initiatives including targeting key conferences, hosting events, seminars, and CLEs for target clients;
  • Lead monthly marketing committee meetings and support partners on executing goals;
  • Collaborate with attorneys to produce compelling thought leadership, proposals and presentations for potential clients; compile all directory and award submissions (Chambers, Legal 500, Benchmark Litigation, Global Investigations Review);
  • Oversee and lead website design changes, maintenance and updates, including keeping attorney biographies and practice page descriptions relevant;
  • Supervise marketing coordinator and oversee budgeting process.

Qualifications include:

  • 7+ years of marketing/BD experience in a law firm environment is required;
  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to execute and achieve results;
  • Track record of successfully working with partners to help them build and expand their business/brand;
  • Collaborative workstyle and ability to work with a wide range of professionals;
  • Excellent project management and managerial skills;
  • Proactive professional who inspires confidence and trust with partners and colleagues.
Salary: $215-225k
