Professional Development Manager, Corporate Restructuring & Investment Management
For the New York Office of a Prestigious Global Law FirmResponsibilities include:
- Build professional relationships with the partners and establish credibility as a trusted resource to support leadership goals, attorney development and inclusivity;
- Develop a professional relationship with each attorney, including an in-depth understanding of professional aspirations, experiences, strengths, development needs, and relevant personal circumstances;
- Recommend resources to address development needs and monitor progress;
- Work closely with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Associate Engagement, and Attorney Learning to support practice group and Firm initiatives;
- Manage associate and counsel evaluation process (e.g. collect feedback, prepare performance summaries, work with partners in determining department messages and participate in the face-to-face review meetings);
- Identify and develop department training programs.
Qualifications include:
- 5+ years of professional development experience in a professional services environment including a minimum of 2 years' experience with staffing and client/organizational support;
- Bachelor's degree, JD preferred;
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills;
- Professional interpersonal and collaborative skills to develop and maintain relationships
- Ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands, projects and priorities;
- Ability to use discretion and exercise independe.nt and sound judgment
