Business Development & Marketing Director

For the DC Office of an International Arbitration Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with senior management and team of BD and marketing professionals to drive growth and implement BD initiatives;
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify marketing and BD strategy and target clients; research competitor activity and market trends;
  • Oversee the firm's pitch submissions, pricing, and bid management;
  • Oversee marketing and branding activities including: client thought leadership, seminars, roundtables, and other opportunities to enhance the firm's global reputation;
  • Identify potential PR/press opportunities based on firm hires, initiatives, and successes;
  • Coordinate directory submission process across a variety of submissions, including Chambers, Legal 500, Lexology Index, and Global Arbitration Review.

Qualifications include:

  • Prior law firm marketing and BD expertise experience working with international disputes and arbitration a plus;
  • Experience working collaboratively with law firm partners, and colleagues, with a one-team global mindset;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail;
  • Strong people management and leadership skills, able to inspire team members;
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with clients;
  • Experience with CRM (including Interaction), email marketing systems (including Vulture), pitch submission software (including PitchPerfect) and website tools (WordPress and Google Analytics) are a plus.
Salary: $200k-$300K
