Business Development Manager, Corporate
For the New York Office of a Well-Regarded Regional Law FirmResponsibilities include:
- Drive business development initiatives aligned with firm strategy, ensuring execution and follow-up;
- Work with practice group leaders and partners to prepare and execute targeted pitches, RFPs, and client research;
- Develop and execute live and virtual seminars, CLE programs, and bespoke client education initiatives;
- Draft and manage legal directory submissions, rankings, and industry surveys in collaboration with partners and marketing;
- Work with external PR teams on press releases, media outreach, and strategic promotion; conduct business development research with Library Services;
- Facilitate integration of lateral partners and counsel while identifying and expanding client relationships.
Qualifications include:
- BA/BS degree with at least five years of business development experience; transactional practice experience is a plus;
- Proven ability to plan and prepare pitches, substantive presentations, and marketing materials;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) with exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills;
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines with keen attention to detail;
- Ability to work effectively with partners, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment;
- Maintain discretion, exercises sound judgment, and demonstrates a team-oriented, collegial approach.
