Research Associate, Lateral Partner Recruiting

For the New York Office of a Legal Search Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Attend in-person meetings with partner candidates, law firm Chairs, practice leaders, and other senior firm management;
  • Monitor and track legal market news and developments relevant to partner hiring and law firm growth;
  • Take detailed and accurate notes during meetings with partner candidates and law firms;
  • Conduct research on law firms and practice areas to assess specialties, strengths, and potential for strategic growth;
  • Assist in identifying and developing target partner candidates for law firm searches;
  • Maintain and update the internal database with current partner and firm information, and coordinate communications and meeting logistics.

Qualifications include:

  • 2+ years of Big Law experience as a paralegal/legal assistant or legal recruiter;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills;
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all tasks and communications;
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
Salary: $125k
