Lateral Recruiting Manager

For the DC Office of a Well-Respected Regional Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of lateral attorney recruiting, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding;
  • Partner with firm leadership to identify strategic lateral hiring needs and develop tailored search strategies;
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the recruiting team, providing guidance, performance feedback, and mentoring;
  • Serve as the primary contact for lateral candidates and search firms, maintaining communication throughout the process;
  • Maintain and analyze recruiting data, track hiring metrics, and support strategic talent initiatives;
  • Coordinate due diligence and onboarding processes, including conflicts clearance, background checks, and integration support.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of law firm recruiting experience required;
  • Proven ability to develop and execute lateral recruiting strategies aligned with firm goals;
  • Strong leadership skills with experience supervising and mentoring recruiting or professional staff;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities across all levels;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, recruiting databases, and project management tools;
  • In-depth knowledge of legal market trends, particularly in the DC or comparable markets.
Salary: $145K-$165K
