Talent Development Specialist
For the D.C. Office of a Boutique Law FirmResponsibilities include:
- Lead the planning and execution of attorney professional development initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of onboarding, mentoring, training, and evaluation programs;
- Manage attorney talent systems (e.g., PerformYard, CE Manager), overseeing workflows, reporting, and system enhancements in collaboration with IT and external vendors;
- Coordinate large-scale attorney development programs and events, including scheduling, logistics, material preparation, and tracking of participation and outcomes;
- Oversee performance evaluation processes, including scheduling, communications, tracking progress, and integrating insights into development planning;
- Implement and improve CLE compliance processes and platforms, supporting accurate filings, tracking, and coordination with attorneys and external vendors;
- Maintain alumni records and engagement efforts while supporting cross-functional initiatives in partnership with Recruiting, DEI, HR, and Marketing teams.
Qualifications include:
- At least 5 years of experience in attorney development or legal talent roles, with a strong track record of managing complex projects from start to finish;
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business;
- Demonstrated expertise in project management, with the ability to create and execute detailed plans, meet deadlines, and drive implementation across teams;
- Strong technical skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with talent systems such as PerformYard, CE Manager, and LawCruit;
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with a high attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset;
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
