Practice Group Manager – Antitrust & Competition

For the NY or DC Office of a Global Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with marketing, business development, and communications teams to execute client-facing initiatives, including events, rankings submissions, and client targeting;
  • Track and manage practice group data, including pitches, client outreach, staffing, and business development targets;
  • Collaborate with practice leadership to set and implement strategic business goals aligned with firm-wide objectives;
  • Drive planning and follow-up for partner and group meetings, including developing agendas and ensuring action item execution;
  • Work cross-functionally with departments such as professional development and DEI to support attorney growth and inclusion efforts;
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to enhance practice group efficiency and strategic alignment.

Qualifications include:

  • MBA or equivalent education with 5–7 years of business or legal experience, preferably within a law firm setting;
  • Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism;
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders across departments;
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills with experience supervising geographically dispersed teams;
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills in a deadline-driven, detail-oriented environment;
  • In-depth understanding of the legal industry, including litigation, investigations, and M&A practices within law firms.
Salary: $230k-280k
