Assistant Manager, Attorney Training
For the DC, Dallas, Houston, LA, NY, Orange County, SF, or Palo Alto Office of a Global Law FirmResponsibilities include:
- Oversee the accreditation of all internal and external substantive legal education programs, including new associate, departmental, practice group, and client programs;
- Manage use of CE Manager and other learning management systems to track credits, issue CLE certificates, store training recordings, and build learning paths, while developing strategies to optimize platform functionality;
- Evaluate programs on a regular basis and report on efficacy based on program metrics and qualitative feedback;
- Effectively manage the MCLE training budget and complete budget forecasts annually;
- Work with attorneys to manage the logistics of their training programs, including working with the design team to generate invite graphics, sending reminder and CLE credit links, coordinating technical logistics, and collecting accreditation materials;
- Collaborate with the Chief Professional Development Officer, Associate Director of Attorney Training, Global Professional Development Director, CLE Team, and other department and Firm members to implement long-term and/or special global projects.
Qualifications include:
- 5+ years’ experience at specialist or coordinator level in a professional development role in a global law firm or professional services firm; 2+ years’ supervisory experience;
- Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills paired with a service-oriented attitude;
- Strategic thinker with a sincere passion for continuing education and career development who embraces new technologies and methods;
- Proven track record of successfully juggling multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; strong organizational skills with a focus on meticulous attention to detail;
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the Firm, including taking the initiative to meet and maintain positive relationships with attorneys and staff;
- Strong skills in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel; CE Manager and Aderant viLMS CLE experience is a plus.
