BD Manager (Restructuring and Finance)

For the New York Office of a Global Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

• Support and execute U.S. and global business development strategies for restructuring, private credit, and strategic financing practices;
• Create and manage proposals and pitches for high-stakes bids, panels, and client opportunities under tight deadlines;
• Maintain accurate and updated marketing collateral, experience lists, and practice-related materials;
• Lead the development of U.S. corporate-specific content, campaigns, events, and submissions to enhance practitioner visibility and firm reputation;
• Identify new business opportunities through market research and deep knowledge of client industries and trends;
• Mentor junior team members on live business development projects to support skill development and team efficiency.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5–7+ years of experience in a professional services firm, preferably with restructuring or finance-related BD exposure;
• Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence and sound judgment;
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across U.S. and global teams under pressure;
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills;
• Strong project management and multitasking abilities with acute attention to detail;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; experience with tools like Salesforce, SharePoint, Pitchbook, CapitalIQ, or Preqin preferred.

Salary: $150k - $180k
