Lateral Associate Recruiting Senior Manager

For the New York or DC Office of a Prestigious Global Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a strategic leader and partner with practice group chairs to transform lateral associate recruitment practices;
  • Lead and inspire the lateral associate recruiting team, fostering a culture of engagement and ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic vision and growth mindset;
  • Innovate recruiting strategies for lateral associate recruitment, utilizing recruiting platforms and collaborating with firmwide leaders and department heads across the firm;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including headhunters and candidates, to support the firm’s recruitment objectives;
  • Guide the firm through strategic change management processes, ensuring the lateral recruiting function adapts in response to evolving market conditions and firm needs;
  • Collaborate on the formulation of global policies and procedures affecting lateral associate hiring.

Qualifications include:

  • 8+ years of legal recruiting experience, including 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role;
  • Excellent project management skills, including organizing, planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and effective interaction with all organizational levels;
  • Strong communication skills with the proven ability to build consensus and provide collaborative leadership;
  • Recruitment leader who is able to anticipate and respond strategically to market changes;
  • Analytical problem solver with the ability to conduct thorough analyses and produce meaningful reports;
  • Proficiency in PC applications and recruitment technology platforms, including MS Office, database management, and applicant tracking systems.
Salary: $230k-$250k
