Senior Practice Manager, Corporate
For the New York Office of a Very Prestigious Law FirmResponsibilities include:
- Collaborate with Firm leadership and practice managers to align staffing, development, and resource needs with strategic priorities;
- Manage and mentor team members, supporting their professional growth and performance;
- Oversee and enhance associate review processes, rotation programs, and work allocation systems for Corporate and related practice groups;
- Serve as primary contact for associates regarding assignments, professional development, and relationship-building within practice groups;
- Analyze and report on associate data, including performance metrics, staffing trends, and departures, to inform leadership decisions;
- Develop and execute associate development initiatives, morale programs, and innovation projects in partnership with practice leaders.
Qualifications include:
- Minimum of 7 years in professional services, including at least 3 years in law firm practice management, professional development, or talent management.
- Bachelor’s degree required; JD with prior corporate law firm experience strongly preferred;
- Proven ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting and presenting data for strategic decision-making;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills with high attention to detail;
- Highly organized self-starter with strong project and people management skills.
