Practice Services Manager

For the Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, KY, Nashville, OH, Pittsburgh or WV Office of a National Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Review and analyze financial and performance reports on attorney productivity, time entry, workflow, and other key metrics; highlight trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and promote effective delegation of work;
  • Partner with Practice Group Leaders and Directors of Practice Services to set financial goals, prepare budgets, establish billing rates, and track performance against objectives;
  • Support attorney workforce planning, including recruitment, retention, evaluations, integration, training, and succession planning;
  • Facilitate communication within and across practice groups by coordinating meetings, retreats, and cross-functional initiatives;
  • Collaborate with Finance, Pricing, Innovation, and other departments to address reporting, technology, and process needs;
  • Assist in the development, execution, and monitoring of practice group business plans, strategic initiatives, and long-term goals.

Qualifications include:

  • 3+ years of experience in leadership, business operations, project management, or financial analysis in a professional services environment; law firm background strongly preferred; Bachelor’s degree required (J.D. or MBA highly desirable);
  • Demonstrated progression into increasingly complex leadership or management roles with proven success in building credibility with senior stakeholders;
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, profitability models, and performance tracking;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal, coaching, and relationship-building abilities;
  • Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable; able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Salary: $140k-$160k
