Senior Advisor, Career Development

For the New York, Washington D.C. or Philadelphia office of a Global Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and continue to build a well-established internal career pathways program, serving as a confidential resource for attorneys exploring external opportunities;
  • Develop and execute strategies to generate a steady pipeline of career opportunities for attorneys and alumni;
  • Cultivate strong relationships with partners, associates, and alumni to identify collaborations and expand placement prospects;
  • Design best practices for matching individuals with relevant opportunities and for publicizing openings internally and externally;
  • Provide one-on-one career coaching, including goal setting, job search planning, resume and interview preparation, and networking guidance;
  • Stay current on legal job markets and hiring trends to advise clients and inform broader career development strategies.

Qualifications include:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including formal coaching; Bachelor’s degree required, coaching certification required, JD preferred;
  • Experience within the legal industry, with prior practice experience a plus;
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide decision-making;
  • Highly empathetic, relationship-driven coach with excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze data, and report on trends to support strategic recommendations;
  • Organized, proactive, and collaborative professional comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Salary: $150k-$200k
