Lateral Recruiting Senior Specialist — Litigation & Trial and Tax

For the DC Office of a Prestigious Global Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead lateral associate recruiting efforts for the Litigation & Trial and Tax practices, overseeing the full candidate lifecycle from application review through offer and onboarding.
  • Drive the strategic execution of judicial clerk hiring, including planning hiring timelines, coordinating outreach, and advising stakeholders on market dynamics and candidate positioning.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for candidates and internal stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication, accurate recordkeeping, and a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Coordinate recruiting events, targeted mailings, and digital outreach initiatives to increase visibility and strengthen relationships with prospective candidates.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present recruiting materials, market insights, and detailed recruiting metrics and reports to internal leadership and committees.
  • Supervise and support team members, assist with recruitment budget management, and ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and best practices.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in legal recruiting or a professional services environment.
  • Experience mentoring and leading junior team members.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the discretion and judgment to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Advanced organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and make sound independent decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience developing recruiting strategies, analyzing market trends, and driving innovative or process-improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruiting technologies including applicant tracking systems and interview platforms, with experience producing clear, data-driven reports.
Salary: $115k-$130k
