Regional Recruiting Manager
For the Boston, DC or New York Office of a Top Global Law FirmResponsibilities include:
- Oversee and manage all attorney recruiting activities for the firm’s East Coast offices, including Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C., ensuring alignment with firmwide recruiting processes and hiring strategy.
- Lead and coordinate local recruiting teams across assigned offices, providing day-to-day guidance, oversight, and support while partnering closely with the firmwide recruiting function.
- Manage all aspects of lateral attorney recruiting, including identifying hiring priorities, engaging with search firms, coordinating interview processes, and supporting candidate evaluation and selection.
- Oversee and teams supporting law school recruiting programs and activities, including campus outreach, interview programs, and related initiatives.
- Collaborate with practice group leaders and other stakeholders to support specific growth efforts and communicate evolving talent needs.
- Maintain deep knowledge of legal market and recruiting trends, develop external relationships with headhunters, peer firms, and industry groups, and contribute to long-term regional recruiting plans and goals.
Qualifications include:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in attorney recruiting, attorney professional development, or a closely related field, within a large, multi-office law firm environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; JD preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing lateral partner recruiting.
- Proven ability to lead, oversee, and collaborate with recruiting teams while working effectively with partners, practice leaders, and firm leadership.
- Strong understanding of legal hiring markets, recruiting trends, and best practices, with the ability to communicate hiring priorities to internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to long-term strategic planning.
