Senior Marketing & Business Development Specialist

For the New York Office of a Mid-Size International Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with practice leaders to develop and execute targeted marketing and business development strategies aligned with firmwide growth objectives.
  • Lead the preparation of pitches, proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations, ensuring compelling messaging and strategic positioning.
  • Conduct in-depth company, industry, and competitive research to identify new opportunities, market trends, and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Build and manage client and prospect targeting lists; oversee referral tracking programs and email marketing campaigns with measurable outcomes.
  • Coordinate conferences, sponsorships, and client events from concept through execution, including budgeting, vendor management, collateral development, and follow-up.
  • Track and report on BD activities, maintain experience and pitch databases, and provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline progress and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications include:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in business development, client development, or marketing within a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with partners and practice leaders to shape strategy and drive execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and editing marketing content, including practice descriptions, attorney bios, pitches, and client-facing materials.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with experience using business research platforms and CRM systems.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, and confidence collaborating with senior attorneys and leadership.
Salary: $130k-$150k
