Business Development Specialist
For the New York Office of a Prestigious Mid-Sized Law FirmResponsibilities include:
- Support the preparation of pitches, proposals, RFP responses, and other business development materials for attorneys and practice groups.
- Conduct client, industry, competitor, and market research to support targeting efforts and strategic growth initiatives.
- Maintain and update experience databases, attorney biographies, practice descriptions, and other marketing collateral.
- Assist with the preparation of directory and ranking submissions, including data collection, drafting, and deadline management.
- Prepare client meeting materials, background research, talking points, and follow-up resources for attorney business development efforts.
- Monitor industry trends and client developments, leveraging AI and research tools to enhance business development processes and reporting.
Qualifications include:
- 3+ years of business development, marketing, or client development experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills with the ability to produce polished work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, senior stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar preferred.
