Marketing, Brand & Communications Manager
For the Chicago Office of a Sophisticated Mid-Sized Law FirmResponsibilities include:
- Advance the firm’s visibility, reputation, and client engagement through integrated marketing, branding, content, public relations, and communications initiatives.
- Manage the firm's brand strategy, ensuring consistent messaging, visual identity, and positioning across all marketing and client-facing materials.
- Oversee the editorial calendar and thought leadership pipeline, repurposing content across digital, social media, email, website, and event channels.
- Draft and edit attorney biographies, practice descriptions, newsletters, website content, presentations, pitch materials, and other marketing collateral.
- Supervise the Events & Communications Coordinator and Graphic Design Coordinator while managing the firm's external public relations agency.
- Monitor campaign performance, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities that enhance brand visibility, client engagement, and market awareness.
Qualifications include:
- 5-7 years of marketing, communications, public relations, or content marketing experience; law firm or professional services experience preferred; Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience managing or mentoring marketing professionals, with the ability to oversee multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills with outstanding attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of brand management, public relations, digital marketing, content strategy, and integrated marketing campaigns. Familiarity with the business model of a multi-practice law firm preferred.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a client-service mindset and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the firm.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and marketing technologies including AI.
