Lateral Partner Recruiting Specialist
For the New York Office of a National Law FirmResponsibilities include:
- Support the recruitment of lateral partners firmwide, through scheduling interviews, coordinating on-site and virtual interview logistics, and supervising feedback collection.
- Monitor and maintain candidate pipeline, including regular check-ins on the stage of each process, updating all candidate records, and ensuring data integrity daily.
- Manage collection of candidate documentation, including business plans and Lateral Partner Questionnaires, and act as a point of contact for lateral partner candidates and recruiters throughout the process, ensuring consistent communication and feedback.
- Coordinate and communicate with the Risk and Conflicts team on preliminary conflict checks for each candidate.
- Conduct initial e-diligence on each candidate introduction, escalating issues or concerns if needed to the Director of Legal Recruiting and CTO.
- Assist in the preparation of offer letters for all candidates, onboarding and integration efforts and specialist projects as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- 3-5+ years of legal recruiting experience in a law firm or professional service environment.
- Sound judgment and adaptability in navigating evolving priorities, shifting schedules, and sensitive situations common in senior-level recruiting processes.
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Excellent client-service approach to interactions with team members, vendors and candidates.
- Strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to information gathering.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
