Legal Recruitment Manager

For the Washington, D.C. Office of an International Law Firm

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead law student and judicial clerk recruiting for the Washington, D.C. office, including outreach, interviews, candidate communications, offers, and hiring committee support.
  • Design and manage all aspects of the summer associate program, including orientation, work assignments, mentoring, programming, evaluations, and offer decisions.
  • Develop relationships with law schools, career services offices, and student groups to strengthen the firm’s visibility and meet hiring goals.
  • Track and analyze recruiting data, prepare internal and external reports, and evaluate post-season results to improve future recruiting efforts.
  • Supervise, train, and develop recruiting coordinators and assistants while promoting consistent practices and strong client service.
  • Provide local coordination and administrative support for lateral associate and partner hiring, onboarding, integration, and due diligence processes.

Qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of relevant legal recruiting, personnel, or recruitment experience, including at least 2 years of management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing law student recruiting and summer associate programs within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, candidates, law schools, and internal teams.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint preferred; experience with LawCruit, viDesktop, WebEx, or Flo Recruit is a plus.
Salary: $144.7k-$180.9k
